1. Lata Mangeshkar,Lata Mangeshkar, famous playback singer, was born in Indore to Pandit Dinanath Mangeshkar. 2. Kishore Kumar, famous playback Singer, Actor, Director, Musician, Producer, who belonged to Khandwa had studied at the Indore Christian College and used to stay in the hostel. His birth name was Abhas Kumar Ganguly. His father Kunjalal Ganguly (Gangopadhya) was a lawyer. Kishore Kumar was a prolific vocalist and sang in many Indian languages including Bengali, Hindi, Marathi, Assamese, Gujarati, Kannada, Bhojpuri, Malayalam and Oriya. Kishore Kumar won his first Filmfare award for the song Roop Tera Mastana.

Dravid has scored 29 centuries in 139 test matches with 11,395 runs at an average of 53.60, including 5 double centuries. In one-days he has scored 12 centuries 82 half centuries in 339 matches with 10,765 runs though he has an average of 39.49, and a strike rate of 71.22.
